FILM DIRECTION course by Mirage Film Institute will help you become a Film Director by giving you all-around filmmaking skills and experience. Though there are some theory classes, the focus of the course is hands-on projects.
After the course, you will be able to direct an independent feature Film or start working as an Assistant Director.
This intensive course demands that the student has a passion for film making and commits to hard work and team effort.

- SUCCESS STORIES: 3 of our alumni have made feature films. Many are currently working as ADs. They have created award winning short films. Three of our students have gone to study Masters degree in Film Making in US with our recommendation.

- PRE-PRODUCTION * Story development, Scene list, Script writing, Script review and editing, Story boarding, Budgeting and Financing, Auditions and Casting
- PRODUCTION * Production Planning, Scheduling, Scene break down and blocking, Cinematography Techniques, Camera movements, Lighting, Visual Story Telling, Directing the Crew, Directing Actors, Sound recording.
- POST PRODUCTION * Film Editing, Colour Correction, Sound Design, Songs and BGM, Sound Effects, Visual Effects, Digital Post Processing.
- DISTRIBUTION * Film Promotion, Sale, Distribution, Film Festivals, OTT, Other distribution platforms.

This course covers Directing Narrative films, Documentaries and Ad films. Both commercial and independent filmmaking are included.,
PROJECT WORK: Students will write, shoot, direct and edit a short film individually and another short film as a group.
DURATION: 4 months. Part-time Classes. Wkdays/Wkends.
