MIRAGE FILM INSTITUTE is a training institute teaching the art and craft of Film making, Media Presentation and Photography. We offer regular, part time and weekend classes. Film Direction, Digital Film Making, Editing, Script Writing and Documentary Film making are our popular courses. In photography we teach Professional Photography. DSLR Photography, Fashion Photography, Modelling photography and many more.

We offer specially tailored workshops for corporates to train to their staff in the creative fields of film making and photography. We conduct special film making and photography workshops for students at various colleges. 

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR:  Sam Kumar M.Tech. (IIT-B)

After completing his Masters degree in Computer Science at IIT Mumbai, Sam Kumar started his professional career as an IT Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services. After 6 years he joined a leading consulting company in US. He has lived and worked in many countries including US, UK, Holland, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia for nearly 20 years. While living abroad he attended Master classes and workshops in Film making and Photography. After two decades of international corporate life he returned home to Chennai and shifted to his first passion – Film making and Photography. He started Mirage Film Institute to share his knowledge and experience in Film making and Photography.

Director Sam Kumar has written, shot, directed and edited feature length documentary films, corporate films, short films and music videos in US, Singapore and India. His films have been screened at international film festivals in Berlin and Singapore. He was interviewed by Hanoi TV and one of his film was shown on their English channel.
