Introduction to FILM DIRECTION – Seminar
When film was the medium of cinema, the equipment and processes of film making were so expensive that only big studios can produce a movie. The film technicians had to have decades of experience in handling the difficult film media. However, digitisation has changed the movie making completely. It has opened film making to independent enthusiasts. A DSLR camera and PC are enough to make a low budget film and distribute it online.
Anyone with a camera can make a movie, But to make a Good and Meaningful movie, one has to learn the grammar of film as a media. Script writing, story boarding, cinematography, working with actors, editing and much more.
Film is a massive and complex project. Apart from having access to financial resources, the Director must have film making skills, be very creative and dynamic to complete a movie.
In this seminar, Mr.Sam Kumar, Director of Mirage Film Institute will explain how you can learn and prepare yourself to become a director.
